Andi was born and raised in Stockton, California. She went to San Francisco State University originally to study fashion design, but stumbled into the school’s theatre costuming department and discovered her true calling. She spent the next two years working in the costume shop on the Theatre Department’s productions, graduating SF State in Spring 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design and Merchandising and a minor in Theatre Costuming.

Her debut as a film costume designer was for Max Sylvester’s STAG. Her feature film debut was in Prep School.
