Shruti Tewari as "Rani"

Shruti Tewari is a film and theatre actor based in the Bay Area. She made her big screen debut with the 2009 blockbuster Love Aaj Kal and her upcoming films include Two Mothers and Adania. Her notable theater credits include Archlight Repertory’s Twelfth Night, Opera-Piccola’s Mirrors of Mumbai, Antares Ensemble’s one-woman show The Human Voice, Golden Thread Productions’Island of Animals and TheatreWorks’ Baby Taj.

Trained through All India Radio, she has hosted many community events, fundraisers and radio shows in the Bay Area. She enjoys stand-up comedy and her satire Bibijis and Auntyjis has been performed in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago. She is a Bharatnatyam dancer by training and has performed extensively in India and the US on stage and screen. A graduate of Columbia University, she opted out of a career in investment banking to pursue performing arts.
